Abstract
In the search for sustainable solutions for water supply, the application of photovoltaic solar energy in pumping systems for aqueducts emerges as an environmentally friendly and sustainable solution. The aim of this study was to explore the integration of photovoltaic solar energy into water pumping systems, for which a review of articles published from 2022 to 2023 was conducted in both Spanish and English, using a search in the Scopus and Scielo databases. A total of 718 articles were processed through a two-stage filtering procedure, starting with a review of titles and abstracts and ending with a full-text review. Eleven studies were included in this study, presenting results, implemented technologies, country of origin, and year of publication. The results indicated that the main research environment was agribusiness, and the implemented technologies involved the development of water distribution systems and the programming of specialized controllers. It is concluded that the study of integrating solar energy into water pumping systems aims to achieve greater energy efficiency, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and establish autonomous systems with reduced costs.
